We at FAB Flour are on a mission. We are sad that bread, once a staple of the British diet, has become demonised. People are actively avoiding bread, worried because it is a source of carbohydrates or because it contains gluten.
What many people don’t seem to realise is, that far from being an unhealthy food product, bread provides an enormous variety and quantity of essential vitamins and minerals.
For example, bread provides more than 10% of the average adult’s intake of iron, calcium, zinc, magnesium and protein. And the more bread you eat, the larger the contribution!

Bread, like Cleopatra, has infinite varieties. And they pretty much all taste great. From heady sourdoughs to rustic ryes; white bloomers to a seeded baguette – what’s not to love. And then there’s the smell ….
